Buhari May Pick A Dark Horse As His Successor

Following the successful completion of the national convention of the ruling All Progressive Congress ‘APC’, attention will now be drafted to the forthcoming party’s presidential primary election of which according to reports the president of the federation intends to back a dark horse in this succession race.

The party’s primary election of the All Progressive Congress which is scheduled to be hold in the latter part of the year would provide party members the utmost opportunity to choose their preferred presidential candidate of whom is expected to be the flag bearer of the party come 2023.

There are reports reaching us from an inside source, the choice to be made of the APC presidential candidate will come as a shock to members Within the party and members of the public at large.

It has been clearly indicated that the number one citizen of the federation President Muhammadu Buhari is set to back a dark horse in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary elections.

Clear indications here not to be overlooked is the emergence of Senator Abdullahi Adamu which my change the dimensions of the primaries in favour of either governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN in the person of Mr. Godwin Emefiele, or the minister of transportation and two time former governor of River state
Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.

Recall that some months back the president had said he would shock Nigerians with his preferred pick of successor in an interview with news agency and media house outlets.

According to Various Political observers and analyst, the unknown choice of Candidate the president spoke could be a potential dark horse who might not even be a force to reckon with within the party.

Senator Adamu has been very loyal to the president from the very first beginning and has said he would do anything to possible to make sure Buhari pick gets elected.

Literally, he is expected to back the president’s anointed successor ahead of the polls scheduled to hold in the year 2023.

Though on the part of Buhari, there are no clear indication yet of who is successor is yet, The party source still maintains that a clue would surely be given before the presidential primaries in scheduled to hold in the month of May.

In other news, one of the frontline aspirants vying for the post of the national chairmanship of the APC who was forced to withdraw at the very last minute from the race, Mallam Salisu Mustapha has urged the newly elected Adamu-led National Working Committee of the party to now focus its attention and give it’s all to sealing the victory for the party come 2023.

In a statement issued by his spokesman on his behalf, Mallam Bala Usman, urged the new party chairman to up a unified and formidable structure ahead of the 2023 election.
