A lawmaker at the house of representatives in the person of Mr Rasheed Makinde, has urged the Federal Government and Asuu to resolve it’s disagreements for students to return back to school to continue their academic activities.
Currently, the ongoing strike between the Federal Government and the Governing bodies in the universities has grounded academic activities in the nation.
The lawmaker representing the Ifako- Ijaiye Constituency II in the center of excellence State House of Assembly, made this known while presenting free Unified Tertiary Matriculation
Examination (UTME) registration to 350 indigent students in his constituency.
In his words, “The issue is on the exclusive list which the Lagos State or any state cannot interfere in”.
“It is the issue of the Federal Government and I believe, they are on negotiating table of which the Federal Government will attend tothem”.
“In due course, I believe they will call off the strike andresume back to school,” Makinde concluded.
