The Academic Staff Union of Universities, presently on strike has come out to voice the fact it didn’t receive any notice regarding new meeting schedule from the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
Recall that the Minister of Labour and Employment in the person of Dr Chris Ngige, had promised to schedule a meeting with ASUU this week in the aftermath of its two months rollover strike.
In the disclosure of Asuu by its president, they noted. “No, we have not received any notice of meeting from them. They didn’t call us. We are not begging them to meet with us and we will not go to them if they do not invite us. It is part of his political campaign, we didn’t receive any invite,” he added.
“No meeting, if we do not hear from
them, our National Executive Council will meet at the expiration of this week.” he concluded
