Lagos State Police Command Apprehends Three Suspects Linked to Robbery and Murder of Senator Solomon Adeola’s Aide

In a significant breakthrough, the Lagos State Police Command has apprehended three male suspects in connection with the tragic robbery and murder of Adeniyi Sanni, who served as an aide to Senator Solomon Adeola, also known as Yayi.

The news of these arrests was revealed on Monday by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, during a press conference held at the command’s headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos.

The grim incident occurred on August 5 when Adeniyi Sanni was intercepted by a group of individuals at a checkpoint located in Ojodu Berger, while he was en route to his residence in Lagos.

The suspects taken into custody have been identified as follows: Fred Azeez Okuno, a 43-year-old resident of Lagos; Lucky Idudu Michael, a 33-year-old hailing from Delta State; and Adedigba Segun, a 26-year-old native of Ibadan, Oyo State.

Commissioner Idowu Owohunwa made the following statement during the press briefing: “Through diligent intelligence work and thorough investigative efforts, the Lagos Police Command has successfully apprehended the criminal syndicate responsible for the robbery and murder. The three suspects directly involved in the robbery and murder have been arrested, and three firearms, including the murder weapon, have been recovered.”
