President Bola Tinubu has named Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, the spokesperson for the Northern Elders Forum, as the Special Adviser on Political Affairs in Vice-President Kashim Shettima’s office.
In a tweet posted on his X handle on Monday, Baba-Ahmed, who is also the elder brother of the running mate to Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 election, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the nation’s development. He tweeted, “I am pleased to announce that I have accepted the appointment as Special Adviser (Political) to the Vice President. This is not the time for sitting on the sidelines or offering criticism when there’s an opportunity to make a positive impact on our nation. I am deeply honored and humbled. Please keep me and Nigeria in your prayers.”
